All members are expected to read, understand and abide by the club rules.
2026/27 membership is closed
The 2026/27 renewal and new member intake periods are closed. The Club has reached its membership capacity and is not accepting additional applications at this time.

These dates are proposed and remain subject to confirmation. Please check for updates before applying. Applications are not yet open; applications submitted before the applicable intake opens will be voided.
Membership information
Membership runs from April 1 to March 31 of the following year. Membership dues are not prorated.
Membership is subject to the Club’s capacity, with priority given to Squamish residents. New applications are processed in the order received, as space permits; acceptance is not guaranteed.
All memberships are personal memberships. The Club does not offer corporate, business or agency memberships.
Lapsed memberships are treated as new applications. If you do not renew during the applicable renewal period, you must apply as a new member when intake opens.
Resident and non-resident memberships
A resident member is someone whose primary residence is within the District of Squamish. New resident applicants must provide government-issued identification showing their primary residential address.
If Squamish is not your primary residence, apply as a non-resident. The Club is required to maintain a majority of Squamish resident members, so non-resident spaces may be limited.

New member initiation fee
All new members, including former members whose membership has lapsed, pay an additional $100 initiation fee. This fee does not apply to membership renewals.
Membership cards
Membership cards must be visibly worn or kept visible on your shooting bench while on Club grounds.

Junior members
Junior members are under 18 years of age. They must be supervised in accordance with Club requirements and may not sign in or supervise guests. Members aged 18 and older require an adult membership.
Firearms and PAL information
A PAL is not required simply to be a member of SVRGC.
New and renewing members who wish to use their own non-restricted or restricted firearms at the Club must select the appropriate option on the application or renewal form, enter their PAL number, and provide a copy of the front and back of their PAL. This also applies to applicable spouse and family members.
Membership cards identify the member’s firearms privileges as no PAL, PAL or RPAL. Members using their own firearms must have the appropriate designation on their card.
Using your firearms without the appropriate card designation will result in loss of range privileges for the day and disciplinary action.
The card-designation rule does not apply to Club-sanctioned shoots where loaner firearms may be available, or when a member with the appropriate designation directly supervises a guest or another member trying out a firearm.
Guests bringing their own firearms must provide PAL information on the sign-in envelope. Review the Club Rules & Regulations before visiting the ranges.
Range access
Range availability may be reduced by Club events, rentals, maintenance, construction, wildfire risk or other operational requirements. Temporary reductions in access do not result in a refund or prorating of membership dues.

Targets and target stands
Bring your own targets and stands and take them away after use. The Club does not provide targets, stands or storage. Items left at the range will be disposed of.
Items that present a ricochet hazard, such as glass, TVs, rocks and wheel rims, must not be used as targets or stands. Reactive targets, including Tannerite and propane canisters, are prohibited.
Pistol Range: Metal targets may be used only for rimfire, air guns and handguns, at a minimum of 25 yards. They must be commercially designed to direct bullets toward the ground.
Rifle Range: Swinging metal targets may be used only for rimfire, Frontier Shoot (lead, no gas checks, 1,500 fps or less), air guns and handguns, at a minimum of 25 yards. Metal targets must not be used with centrefire rifles except for Frontier Shoot.
Trap Range: Only Club trap machines may be used. See the Club schedule for available times.

If you are not applying or renewing online, mail your completed paper application to the address shown on the form. Submit applications only during the applicable intake period.
